Yucaipa’s Inaugural Field of Honor®
November 11–15 | John Tooker Civic Park
Honoring Those Who Served. Remembering Those Who Sacrificed. Celebrating 250 Years of American Freedom.
This Veterans Day, a powerful new tradition takes root in the heart of the Yucaipa Valley. The City of Yucaipa and Yucaipa Community Foundation proudly present Yucaipa’s inaugural Field of Honor®—a stirring tribute to the brave men and women who have defended our nation and the freedoms we hold dear.
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, visitors will experience a remarkable journey through our nation’s history, featuring a historical display of 26 flags representing America’s evolution over 250 years. An extraordinary 4-by-6-foot reproduction of the Declaration of Independence, painstakingly redrawn by hand so every word can be read, offers a powerful reminder of the principles upon which our nation was founded.
Among the American flags, each represents a story of courage, sacrifice, and devotion to country, visitors will find a place to honor loved ones, remember fallen heroes, and express gratitude to those who have served. As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, this display also reminds us of the unity, resilience, and patriotism that bind us together as Americans. You can honor a loved one, past or present, who has served by dedicating a flag in their honor, or by showing your support by sponsoring the field. All proceeds collected will benefit local veterans programs.
Rooted in Yucaipa’s strong community spirit, this inaugural event invites families and generations to come together, reflect on our shared history, and ensure that the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes are never forgotten.
Open to the public at no charge, the Field of Honor® welcomes everyone to John Tooker Civic Park November 11–15. Come honor a veteran, dedicate a flag, explore our nation’s history, and help begin a lasting Yucaipa tradition celebrating freedom, service, and the American spirit.
