Green fields flank Prices Distillery Road creating a peaceful setting for Ijamsville’s 5^th Annual Field of Honor® display, and 600 United States flags posted over Memorial Day by the Knights of Columbus will fly in an awe-inspiring formation on the grounds of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church. Capturing the deeper meaning of Memorial Day, these flags fly in tribute to the military and veterans who have and do defend our freedoms at home and on fields of battle.  Flag also honor first responders who service and protect our community. Flags may be sponsored for $40, and the sponsors will retain the flags at the close of the event to be displayed in Ijamsville and surrounding communities as continuing mementos of service.

The impact of this event is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. The Ijamsville Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

There is no charge to visit the Ijamsville of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
