Hermitage Field of Honor® 2026
Honoring Service. Celebrating Freedom. Remembering Sacrifice.
In recognition of Veterans Day, the grounds of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage will once again be transformed into a breathtaking sea of red, white, and blue. From November 5–14, 2026, one thousand United States flags will stand in quiet formation across Victory Field, creating a powerful tribute to the men and women whose courage, service, and sacrifice have safeguarded the freedoms we enjoy today.
Each flag represents a hero. Each tells a story of service, devotion, resilience, and love of country. Together, they create an unforgettable experience that invites visitors to pause, reflect, and express gratitude for those who have answered the call to serve.
As our nation commemorates 250 years of American independence, we celebrate the enduring ideals of liberty, unity, and selfless service that have defined our history. We also mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, remembering the lives lost, honoring the heroes who responded without hesitation, and recognizing the generations of military members and first responders whose sacrifices continue to protect our nation.
The 11th Annual Hermitage Field of Honor®, presented by the Exchange Club of Donelson-Hermitage in partnership with Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage – Presidential Site, has become one of Middle Tennessee’s most meaningful patriotic traditions. Set against the historic landscape of Andrew Jackson’s beloved home, this inspiring display provides a fitting place to honor veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and all who have served our communities and our country with courage and distinction.
Throughout the week, visitors are invited to experience this moving display, attend special ceremonies, and join fellow citizens in celebrating the extraordinary privilege of freedom—a privilege earned and preserved through the sacrifices of generations of American heroes.
Flags may be sponsored for $50 in honor or memory of a loved one, veteran, active-duty service member, first responder, or personal hero. At the conclusion of the display, sponsors may take their flag home as a lasting keepsake of the Hermitage Field of Honor® and the individual it represents.
Proceeds from the Hermitage Field of Honor® benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation, supporting programs and services that serve wounded veterans, first responders, their families, and those who sacrifice in defense of our nation.
Admission to the Hermitage Field of Honor® is free and open to the public. Join us this Veterans Day as we honor the past, celebrate our nation’s enduring spirit, and express our deepest gratitude to those whose service has made our freedom
