| For the past five years, Newburyport has proven to be the ideal setting for a stirring display of the Stars and Stripes that will, once again this coming September, be posted on the historic Bartlet Mall. This dramatic formation of flags will, as in previous years, honor the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks as well as the men and women who have answered this challenge to the peace and security of our nation and the world. As the worldwide struggle against terrorism continues the Newburyport Field of Honor® flag display reminds us of the magnitude of loss that the young may learn and the mature may remember.Please join with the Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport in supporting and visiting this inspirational and memorable event. Flags sponsored for $40 may be picked-up at the conclusion of the display to be retained as mementos of the inspiring event. As area residents have learned in past years, this is an experience not to be missed. |
