The Sharpsburg Exchange Club and the VFW Post 2057 will host this event that will display US flags waving proudly atop 7 ½ foot poles as a moving tribute to honor all Heroes.
The Stars & Stripes reminds us of who we are as a people. Americans meet the challenges of history and overcome hardships becoming stronger. That is just who we are. The United States flag represents our solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow and uniting us all.
Flags are available for sponsorship and may be taken home Sunday evening and flown proudly in your yard as to continue the tribute. Any flags that are not picked up Sunday evening can be picked up at the Sharpsburg Exchange Club. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks. To volunteer, please call Joyce Finn at (252) 977-3719.
