Over the Veterans Day weekend, the Donelson-Hermitage Exchange Club will host their inaugural Field of Honor® display of U.S. flags on “Victory Field” at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. This inspirational posting of the Stars and Stripes will feature a thousand flags standing in a solemn formation. Flags may be sponsored for $30, and the sponsors will retain the flags at the close of the event to be displayed in surrounding communities as mementos of this awe-inspiring event.
The funds raised through the Field of Honor® flag display will support child abuse prevention and other projects of the Donelson-Hermitage Exchange Club that benefit our community and country.
The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. This is especially true as the flags will fly on the beautiful grounds of Andrew Jackson’s historic home, the Hermitage. There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
