Hanover, PA ~ 4th Healing Field® 2016

September 9-17, 2016
West Manheim Elementary School (2000 Baltimore Pike)

H_PA_logoIn September of 2016 the Exchange Club of Hanover will host their 4th Healing Field® event where three thousand full sized United States Flags will stand posted on the grounds of the West Manheim Elementary School which is located at 2000 Baltimore Pike in Hanover.  When the effort begun in late 2014, this inspirational display of the Stars and Stripes is certain to draw area residents together in a meaningful tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 2001.
In the fifteenth year following those horrendous events, it is critical that the magnitude of loss not be forgotten.  That those old enough to remember be reminded and that those too young to remember have the opportunity to learn.
Visitors to the most recent Hanover Healing Field® flag display in 2011 shared a great experience as shown by visitor comments:

“ brought me to tears of  love, sadness and patriotism;” “a beautiful sight;”  “I urge everyone to attend;” “amazing to see the lights shining on the flags in the darkness of night;” “I was truly speechless;” “brought tears to my eyes and to my wife’s eyes as well;” what an awesome site to see!”

One visitor seemed to sum it up in the comment, “Anyone who misses the chance to see this awesome site is missing the biggest WOW moment of his or her life.”

The Hanover Exchange Club invites all area residents to join in creating and experiencing this amazing display of our nation’s flag.  This is a perfect opportunity for all to join together to commemorate those who were killed in the senseless attacks of 9/11 as we renew our determination that the enemies of freedom will not prevail.
