Heroes Field Of Honor

We have all had to step up, make sacrifices and come together as a community through the Covid-19 Pandemic. Some have put their lives in harm’s way to keep us safe and take care of those infected with the Virus. We want to Honor all of these special people; Police, Firefighters, Military, Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers and so many others in so many fields.

This “Heroes Field® of Honor” is the first ever in this area and will be located at Joyner’s Crossing in front of Food Lion at the intersection of Hwy. 97 and Halifax Rd. in Rocky Mount. VFW Post 2057 and the Sharpsburg Exchange Club will host this event that will display 250 US flags waving proudly atop 8-foot poles as a moving tribute to honor all Heroes. A special ceremony to present the sponsors of this event and the names of our heroes that the flags represent will take place Friday, September 11th at 5:30 PM.
Flags are available for sponsorship at $50 each and may be taken home Sunday afternoon and flown proudly in your yard as to continue the tribute.
