Commemorating the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks of 2001, Prescott Valley will continue its proud 8-year tradition as Northern Arizona residents come together to experience this awe-inspiring display of the Stars and Stripes.
3,000 U.S. flags flying at the Civic Center will again create an unforgettable panorama of optimism and healing. Area residents may visit the display at the Prescott Valley Town Center from Friday, September 6th through Friday, September 13th of 2019.
The Prescott Valley Healing Field® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
We invite all to visit the Prescott Valley’s display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. The North Arizona Healing Field® is a not to be missed event.

Prescott Valley’s Patriot Week 2017 honors the fallen

The Town of Prescott Valley’s annual Patriot Week events kick off Saturday, Sept. 8, and continue on until Sept. 15. Framing the commemoration for the sixth year will be the Healing Fields display at the Prescott Valley Civic Center. The 3,000 U.S. flags, which stand for those lost in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, — plus 19 to honor the Granite Mountain Hotshots — will be on display, 24 hours a day for the entire week, coming down at 4 p.m. on Sept. 15.

32-year-old New York City resident Doris Torres was just one of the heroes during the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. Torres, who worked in foreign trade for Fiduciary Trust International at the World Trade Center, helped an emotional colleague down the stairs and returned to save more individuals during the attack. She died five days later due to burns.

Never forget 9/11; volunteers support effort, public pays respect

In little more than four hours, 100 volunteers erected 3,019 flags at the Prescott Valley Civic Center — 3,000 to represent the lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and 19 to honor the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013.
