Patriotism is in the daily news this fall as controversies rage over singing the national anthem, standing or kneeling or not taking the playing field at all. If there’s one thing the city of Murrieta, its residents and their Southwest Riverside County neighbors always come together for, it’s the week-long Murrieta Rotary Field of Honor capped off by the annual Veterans Day Parade. This year, the patriotic tradition continued as rows upon rows of American flags with yellow ribbons dedicated to military veterans past and present graced Town Square Park.
