Event Details

Continuing a six-year tradition, the Exchange Club West of Wilson County is hosting the 6th annual Field of Honor® event Honoring America’s Flag.
Volunteers again gather in Mt. Juliet this May to post hundreds of U.S. flags. This panorama of red, white and blue recognizes the service and accomplishments of our fellow Americans as we join in an awe-inspiring salute to veterans, who have given the flag increased meaning through their service.
There is a story of service and sacrifice surrounding each posted flag to remind the mature and to teach the youth that our freedoms have been purchase by the toil and blood of others with many paying the cost with their very lives. Family, friends and each of us share in the loss of men and women whose lives have been cut short on battlefields of an increasingly dangerous world.
At the close of the event, sponsors will retain the flags they dedicated to honor individuals. The Mt. Juliet display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. This is especially true as the flags will fly in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is an event not to be missed.
