The Exchange Club of Monroe joins together with the River Raisin National Battlefield Park to bring a Field of Honor® display to Monroe on the western shore of Lake Erie. Posted during the days surrounding Veterans Day, the panorama of red, white & blue becomes especially inspiring in the city that surrounds the historic River Raisin Battlefield. Although that battle stretches back to the War of 1812, it reminds us of the sacrifices given then and since to obtain and maintain our independence and freedom.
The Monroe Field of Honor® display recognizes veterans and members of our armed forces with an inspiring display of United States Flags. It is appropriate to honor our heroes with display of the flag that they honored though their service and sacrifice.
Monroe’s Field of Honor® display of U.S. Flags brings volunteers, residents and visitors together as 900 flags are posted. This inspiring vista of flags is hard to describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten.
The Monroe Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag, making a donation or doing both.
Please visit the Field of Honor® display, and bring your family and friends to experience this magnificent display of Old Glory.
