From June 27th through July 8th, the community of Monroe will be transformed into sacred ground as the Exchange Club of Monroe presents its inspiring Field of Honor®. Hundreds of American flags will rise in solemn formation, each one standing tall beneath the summer sky — not merely as fabric and color, but as a powerful tribute to courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to our nation.
Every flag represents a veteran. Every flag tells a story. Every flag honors a life dedicated to protecting the freedoms we cherish.
In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, this year’s Field of Honor® will also feature a breathtaking historic flag display — showcasing the evolution of our nation through the designs of the American flags that have flown over the past 250 years. Alongside this powerful visual journey, visitors will encounter a beautifully illustrated, oversized Declaration of Independence — offering a moment to pause, read, and reflect on the enduring words that gave birth to our nation.
This moving display is more than a visual experience — it is a place of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance. As visitors walk among the rows of red, white, and blue, and explore the story of our nation’s founding, they are invited to connect with the true meaning of service, sacrifice, and freedom.
You can be part of this meaningful tribute by sponsoring or dedicating a flag in honor of a veteran, active-duty service member, or personal hero. Each dedication ensures that their service is recognized and remembered, while supporting the Exchange Club of Monroe’s ongoing efforts to serve the community.
The Field of Honor® is open to the public throughout the display period and free to visit. We encourage everyone to come experience this powerful tribute — to walk among the flags, reflect on our shared history, and give thanks.
Join us in Monroe as we honor those who have served and celebrate 250 years of American independence. Stand beneath the flags. Read the words that shaped a nation. Remember their sacrifice. And together, let us reaffirm a simple truth: freedom is never free — it is earned and protected by the brave.
