Ijamsville, MD ~ Field of Honor® 2026

Night flags

600 United States Flags will be posted over the Memorial Day weekend, presented to the community by the Chaplain Vincent R. Cappodanno Assembly of the Knights of Columbus.

Capturing the deeper meaning of Memorial Day, these flags fly in tribute to the military and veterans who have defended—and continue to defend—our freedoms at home and on fields of battle. The display also honors the first responders who serve and protect our community. This year’s Field of Honor® also celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, recognizing the enduring spirit, sacrifice, and service that have shaped our nation since its founding.

At the close of the event, sponsors will retain their flags to be displayed in Ijamsville and surrounding communities as continuing mementos of service.

We are proud that 100% of net proceeds will go to our beneficiaries, America’s VetDogs and Platoon 22, organizations dedicated to serving our veterans.

The impact of this event is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. The Ijamsville Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships, and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

There is no charge to visit the Ijamsville Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
