Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Hyde Park, 4097 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY 12538

Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four terms as President of the United States encompass times and events having major impact on modern U.S. history. It is, therefore, especially fitting that the lawns of FDR’s beloved home, Springwood at Hyde Park, will again provide the site for an imposing display flying hundreds of U.S. flags as the Hyde Park Education Foundation and the National Park Service host their 2nd Annual Field of Honor® event. This posting of the Stars and Stripes will draw area residents and visitors together in a dramatic fashion to honor veterans, first responders and local heroes who through their service and sacrifice have given added meaning to the flag. Read More…

At the close of the event, sponsors will retain the flags they dedicated to honor individuals. The funds raised through the Field of Honor® flag display will benefit the Hyde Park Education Foundation in supporting programs that encourage and improve educational opportunities for students of the Hyde Park Central School District.

This is an experience made possible by the dedicated efforts of organizers and volunteers. Please support this worthwhile event by sponsoring flags in tribute to your heroes, by volunteering to help and through contributions.

The Field of Honor® display may be visited without charge; bring families and friends. This is an experience hard to describe but not to be forgotten. Don’t miss it.
