Creating an awe-inspiring panorama, United States flags will fly in a solemn formation at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage during November of 2024. This stirring display flags will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our heroes. Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor our Veterans. This unique event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor our many heroes.
Featuring a calendar full of events, Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage draws visitors throughout the year. In what has become an annual highlight, the Exchange Club of Donelson-Hermitage and the Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage – Presidential Site post a thousand U.S. flags on Victory Field bringing the 9th Annual Hermitage Field of Honor® display to the Nashville area. The grounds of Andrew Jackson’s beloved home and the days surrounding Veterans Day provide the appropriate place and dates to honor veterans who through their service and sacrifice have given the Stars & Stripes meaning.
Flags may be sponsored for $35, and the sponsors retain the flags at the close of the event to be displayed in surrounding communities as mementos of the Hermitage Field of Honor® display. The funds raised through the Field of Honor® flag display will benefit The Family Center working to “empower parents to raise happy, healthy children.” In 2023 proceeds benefited Reboot Combat Recovery Program, Gary Sinise Foundation, Curb Liberty Hall, USO Nashville, Volunteers of America for Veterans, The Family Center, Youth Villages, Andrew Jackson Foundation, and many more worthy community efforts.
This is an event not to be missed.
