Forest Lawn Memorial Day visitors will be greeted by a stunning display of 1,000 United States flags at the cemetery’s entrance. What more appropriate site could there be to post so many copies of Old Glory. Forest Lawn provides burial sites with chapels, statuary and artworks; however, it is also dedicated to preserving U.S. history, and the stunning display of the Stars and Stripes adds to patriotic displays throughout the park.

Hosted for the 4th straight year by the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club, the Field of Honor® display pays tribute to heroes that have earned our recognition and thanks:

  • Fallen Service Men and Women
  • Members of the Armed Forces
  • Veterans
  • First Responders to Emergency Scenes
  • Heroes in Our Lives

These men and women who have become our heroes and may be honored with the display of a dedicated flag. Flags are sponsored for $50.

The Glendale Field of Honor and Gratitude display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Please show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

There is no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display; please walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
