Event Details

Over the Memorial Day weekend, the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club will host its inaugural Field of Honor and Gratitude display of U.S. flags at Forest Lawn Cemetery. This inspirational posting of the Stars and Stripes will feature flags standing in a solemn formation to honor Heroes in Our Lives. Teachers, Fire Fighters, Police, First Responders, Military and Veterans may be honored with the display of a U.S. flag. Flags are sponsored for $50, and the sponsors will retain the flags at the close of the event to be displayed in surrounding communities as mementos of this awe-inspiring event.

The funds raised through the Field of Honor® flag display will support Wellness Works and the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Foundation.

The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. This is especially true as the flags will fly on the beautiful grounds of Forest Lawn Cemetery. There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
