Brownsburg, IN ~ Field of Honor® 2026

October 29November 11

61 North Green Street ,

From October 29th through November 11th, the Town of Brownsburg will be transformed into sacred ground as over 500 American flags rise in solemn formation across the Brownsburg Town Hall Green. Each flag will stand tall against the autumn sky — not merely as fabric and color, but as a living tribute to courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to our nation. Every flag represents a veteran. Every flag tells a story. Every flag honors a life given in service to the freedoms we cherish.

As part of the America 250 commemoration, Brownsburg is also proud to present a powerful educational exhibit alongside the Field of Honor®. Visitors will encounter a life-sized Declaration of Independence banner — a bold reminder of the promises that founded this great nation. Flanking it will be historic American flags representing the 26 flags that have flown over our country during the past 250 years. Together, they tell the story of a nation tested, strengthened, and sustained by generations willing to stand in its defense.

This is more than a display — it is a call to remember.

You can take part in this tribute by becoming a sponsor, dedicating a flag, or making a donation. From February through September 30th, members of our community may purchase and dedicate an American flag for $50 in honor of a veteran. Each dedication ensures that a hero’s service is recognized and remembered. Proceeds from the Field of Honor® will benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund, providing critical financial support to Indiana service members and their families in times of need.

On Saturday, November 11th, we will gather as a community for a special Veterans Day ceremony and field dedication — a solemn and heartfelt moment to honor the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces.

We invite everyone to walk among the flags from October 29th through November 11th. The display is open to all and free to visit. Come stand beneath the red, white, and blue. Come reflect. Come give thanks. And together, let us remember that freedom is never free — it is earned and preserved by the courage of those who serve.
