Those traveling along the West Walker Drive this Veterans Day weekend will again be rewarded with an exceptional view of 500 United States flag flying atop 7½ foot white flagstaffs. Truckers who pass through Asheboro often sound their horns in salute to the scene.  Pull off at Walker Drive and find a spot in the adjacent parking lot and you will be rewarded by Asheboro’s 7th Annual Field of Honor® display.

The Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce joins together with the Asheboro Rotary Club each year for Veterans Day to host the Field of Honor® display as a way to draw together the residents of the Randolph County and surrounding communities.  Hard to adequately describe, this event must be experienced to be fully appreciated.

Each flag flown in the Asheboro Field of Honor® display represents an individual and tells a story of service and sacrifice as sponsored flags honor individuals. The event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor those who serve to protect our nation and our community. The funds raised will benefit the charitable programs of the Rotary Club of Asheboro & Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce.

The Asheboro Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. Please show your support and gratitude by making a donation.

The display is open to all without charge, and we invite all to visit the Asheboro Field of Honor® display and walk among the posted flags. This is an experience that is not to be missed.
