The Mustang football practice field will be transformed this coming November into a patriotic display featuring a formation of over 1,000 U.S. flags posted in tribute to the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom.  During the days leading up to and including Veterans Day, Metea Valley High School will host a Healing Field® display of the Stars and Stripes that promotes a feeling of healing as associates, friends and family members of our fallen walk amid ordered rows of our national flag.  Each sponsored flag bears a tag naming the person honored by its display and the flag represents a story of individual sacrifice.  At the conclusion of the event, the sponsored flags with their tags will be retained by the sponsors to be flown at home or business increasing flag display in the surrounding communities.

Flags may be sponsored for $35 if they are picked up after the event’s close.  Flags may be sponsored and shipped for $45.  Flags are also available for purchase at the same costs.  Proceeds from flag sales will benefit the educational programs of  Metea Valley High School.

The Healing Field event is financially underwritten and supported by the Athletic Booster Club, the Metea Valley PTSA and the Latino Mustangs.  Please support Metea Valley High School by sponsoring or purchasing a flag.
All area residents are invited to visit the Healing Field® display and walk amid the flags.  Those who have visited a Healing Field® display in surrounding communities know to expect an inspiring and memorable event, and those who are first time visitors will find that the amazing display must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
