In the week leading up to Memorial Day, the Arcadia Rotary will host the 10th annual transformation of Arcadia County Park into an awe-inspiring display of 1,000 U.S. flags. The posted Stars and Stripes honor those who have earned our thanks and recognition. Each flag represents the story of an honored hero — understood and appreciated by the sponsor, family, and friends.
As our nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, this year’s Arcadia Field of Honor® takes on even deeper meaning. For two and a half centuries, brave men and women have stepped forward to defend the freedoms we cherish. This powerful display of red, white, and blue stands not only as a tribute to individual heroes, but also as a celebration of America’s enduring spirit, unity, and sacrifice.
The Arcadia Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships, and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation. Flags may be dedicated for $50.
Join the Arcadia Rotary and walk amid the rows and columns of red, white, and blue flags flying atop white flagstaffs. The event is a meaningful opportunity to unite as a community, reflect on 250 years of American history, and honor the many heroes who have served to protect us all. It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten.
There is no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags.
Please come and bring family and friends.
