Event Details
The Rotary Club of Green Valley is proud to bring its inaugural Field of Honor® flag display to Henderson and Clark County over Memorial Day weekend of 2018. This inspirational posting of the Stars and Stripes will feature more than 800 flags standing in a solemn formation to honor heroes in our lives. First Responders and Veterans will be honored with the display of a U.S. flag. Veterans and currently servicing military have given so much and continue sacrifice in the defense of our freedom even at the cost of their lives.
There is a story of service and sacrifice surrounding each posted flag to remind the mature and to teach the youth that our freedoms are made possible by the sacrifices, heroism and every day bravery of these special people.
The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
The Henderson Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by purchasing a flag, becoming a sponsor or by making a donation.
