Fight For America - A Monumental Sculpture By Stan Watts

THE MOMENT THAT INSPIRED A NATION

THE MOMENT THAT INSPIRED A NATION

THE STORY BEHIND FIGHT FOR AMERICA

In July 2024, the nation witnessed a moment that stunned the world. After surviving an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump rose to his feet and delivered three words to the crowd:

“Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Those words quickly became a symbol of resilience and determination for millions of Americans. For master sculptor Stan Watts, the moment carried even deeper meaning.

Watts believes the event represents more than a political moment–it represents divine protection and a turning point in American history. “When people in the future look back on this moment,” Watts explains, “they will ask why he survived. I believe God preserved his life not only to save America and to put America back on the right course, but that by saving America, the world itself could be spared from chaos.”

According to Watts, the symbolism represents being set apart and protected by God–a reminder to listen for divine guidance. Watts views the moment through that lens of faith. “It means you are protected by God and that is how you hear the voice of the Lord,” he explains. “God protects His people, His family, and His nation.” For Watts, the sculpture is not intended simply as a tribute to a single man, but as a symbol of gratitude and recognition of divine intervention. “This is not just a statue to honor President Trump,” Watts says. “It is a statue to honor God for saving him.”

The resulting work, Fight for America, seeks to capture a moment that many believe will be remembered for generations–a moment of survival, faith, and determination that is shaping the course of history.

Colonial Flag Foundation Emblem

Colonial Flag Foundation is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American Heritage, and supporting projects that honor the principles upon which the United States was founded. Through nationwide flag displays, educational initiatives, historical projects, and public monuments, the Foundation works to ensure that the stories, sacrifices, and values that shaped America continue to inspire future generations.

Colonial Flag Foundation is the creator of Healing Field® and Field of Honor® flag displays that pay tribute to individuals and stories of significance. Each flag represents a life, a sacrifice, or a cause, creating a meaningful and visual experience of honor, remembrance, and community; the first Healing Field® flag display was created on the first anniversary of 9/11 to remember and honor all who perished. Since the first Healing Field® in 2002, more than 2,000 flag memorials have been displayed across every state in America on patriotic holidays throughout the year.

The Fight for America sculpture project represents a continuation of that mission– preserving a moment that reflects courage, faith, and the enduring spirit of the nation.
