Patriots Landing proudly invites the community to experience the inaugural Williamstown Field of Honor®—a remarkable tribute celebrating the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the American people during A Nation Remembers Weekend September 16-20th.
More than 500 United States flags will stand in solemn formation, transforming the grounds into a powerful landscape of remembrance, gratitude, and national pride. Each flag honors the men and women whose service has strengthened our nation, including veterans, active-duty military, first responders, law enforcement officers, healthcare professionals, and hometown heroes whose commitment to others reflects the very best of America.
Many of the flags will bear personalized dedication tags sharing the names and stories of those being honored. Together, these tributes create a living memorial that celebrates lives of service while inspiring future generations to embrace the values of duty, courage, integrity, and community. You can show your support by making a donation, dedicating a flag or becoming an event sponsor.
Adding to this extraordinary experience is a special America 250 Heritage Exhibit featuring every official United States flag that has represented our nation during its 250-year history. Visitors will journey through the evolution of Old Glory while learning the story behind each historic design and the milestones it represents in our nation’s remarkable journey.
The celebration also includes a beautifully restored, oversized digital reproduction of the Declaration of Independence, allowing guests the rare opportunity to read one of our nation’s founding documents in remarkable detail. Together, these historic exhibits provide an inspiring reminder of the principles of liberty, equality, and self-government that continue to unite Americans today.
This inaugural event carries special significance as we honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, while recognizing the extraordinary service and sacrifice of the military personnel and first responders who have faithfully protected our nation and our communities over the past twenty-five years. Their courage serves as a lasting reminder that freedom is preserved through service, sacrifice, and a steadfast commitment to one another.
