Mariposa County 4-H Hosts the 12th Annual Field of Honor®
This Veterans Day, Mariposa County 4-H proudly welcomes the community to the 12th Annual Field of Honor®, November 8–15, 2026, in the beautiful foothills of California’s Sierra Nevada range.
As America celebrates its 250th Anniversary, the Field of Honor® offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the generations of Americans who have answered the call to serve our nation. Our volunteer military represents a remarkable tradition of selfless service—men and women who have willingly placed the needs of their country, their communities, and our allies abroad ahead of their own.
Hundreds of United States flags will stand proudly in formation, each representing a person whose life, service, sacrifice, or love of country deserves to be remembered. The display honors veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom.
Behind every flag is a story.
Visitors are invited to walk among the flags, read the dedication stories, and take a moment to reflect on the meaning of service, sacrifice, freedom, and the responsibility each generation carries forward.
The Field of Honor® is free and open to the public. Flag sponsorships are available for those wishing to honor a veteran, service member, first responder, family member, friend, or hometown hero.
This year’s Field of Honor® is made possible through the leadership of Mariposa County 4-H, along with the generosity of sponsors, donors, and dedicated community volunteers.
As our nation marks 250 years of American history, Mariposa’s Field of Honor® provides a beautiful place to remember those who served, honor those who sacrificed, and celebrate the freedoms we share.
