Huntington, West Virginia ~ 6th Annual Healing Field®

September 6-14, 2016
Spring Hill Cemetery, 1427 Norway Avenue, Huntington, WV 25705

The Greater Hunting Park & Recreation District (GHPRD) will host its 6th Annual Healing Field® flag display in memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks this September.  The Healing Field® serves as a patriotic vigil to the thousands of victims of the 9/11 tragedy, recognizes the lives lost in the 1970 Marshall Plane Crash, and memorializes Veterans of the Armed Forces and lost loved ones.

The staff of Spring Hill Cemetery will lead a series of guided walks through the historical burial ground locating many of Huntington’s founders and other influential members of the community. These free tours of Spring Hill Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, September 8 and Thursday, September 10 at 6 p.m. and are open to the public. Come and explore with us the beauty and history of Spring Hill Cemetery!

Flags can be purchased for $35 at Spring Hill Cemetery and proceeds will benefit the Spring Hill Cemetery Memorial Bell Tower Fund.
