Westerville, OH ~ 6th Annual Field of Honor®~Field of Heroes

May 23 – 26, 2014

The Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club will again add to Central Ohio’s Memorial Day traditions beginning on the Friday before the holiday.  Club members and volunteers will post thousands of full-sized U.S. flags atop eight foot flagstaffs in a solemn formation at Westerville’s Sport Complex located near the junction of North Cleveland Avenue and County Line Road.  For the 6th straight year, the Field of Heroes will present a memorable panorama of red, white and blue as residents of Westerville and the greater Columbus community honor our military, our veterans, first responders and those individuals who have become our personal heroes.Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and walking among the ordered rows of the Field of Honor® memorial reminds visitors of the service and sacrifice which have earned the heroes title.  We invite all to visit and support Westerville’s Field of Honor.

There is no charge to visit the Field of Heroes; however, those wishing to support the display may purchase flags that will then be flown to honor designated heroes.  Visit the Field of Heroes website at the link: www.fieldofheroes.org for details.  Proceeds from the flag sales make this touching flag display possible and benefit the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Foundation.
