May 2017 Field of Honor Raises Over $5K for South Plainfield’s Department of Social Services

South Plainfield’s inaugural Field of Honor is less than a week away and organizer Hannah Rhoads is busy ironing out all the final details. A large delivery came last week and, on Saturday, May 13, volunteers will head to Monument Park to begin the assembly and placement of 150 flags.

Flag Orders, Sponsorships Being Accepted for South Plainfield’s May 2017 Field of Honor

South Plainfield resident Hannah Rhoads, 16, with the backing of the Boyle Memorial Foundation, will host an inaugural Field of Honor in the borough during Armed Forces Week 2017 (May 14-20). Part of a national movement run by the non-profit Colonial Flag Foundation (CFF), the event will celebrate the United States and pay tribute to all servicemen and women, veterans and first responders.
