Veterans Park, found in the heart of Huntersville, provides the site for the town’s 2nd Annual Field of Honor Display. The touching formation of 100 United States Flags reminds visitors to the display of the terrible loss of innocent lives when two hijacked airliners crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and a third commandeered plane was diverted from a third target by passengers who sacrificed their lives to save others.

This stirring display will bring the community together that adults may remember, and that youth may learn. It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Huntersville Field of Honor® display and walk among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
