Midland, NC – Field of Honor® 2020

November 11

Corning, 14556 US-601 Midland, NC

Nov 11, 2020
Corning, 14556 US Highway 601, Midland, NC 28107

No one appreciates the service and sacrifice of veterans more than those who experienced the hardships of war. Returning from foreign fields of battle, veterans never forget their fellows returning with them or those who did not.  When honored vets will often say, “I was just doing my job,” but they recognize the heroism of others.

Corning recognizes the heroism of all veterans and also understand that thanking those who have worn the nation’s military uniforms includes caring for veterans who sustained physical and emotional wounds. The Corning Field of Honor® display of United States flag honors and serves those who have veterans in a meaningful way.

Five hundred U.S. flags will stand in solemn formation at Corning’s Midland site this coming Veterans Day. This stirring display will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our Veterans. Each flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor individual veterans and heroes. The event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor our many heroes who served to protect us all.

It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Midland Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
