St. Patrick School has teamed up with Bay Shore’s VFW to provide Bay Shore’s 2nd Annual Field of Honor® display. The event is the perfect opportunity for our community to come together to remember and honor our heroes. It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten.
There is a story of service and sacrifice surrounding each posted flag to remind the mature and to teach the youth that our freedoms have been purchase by the toil and blood of others with many paying the cost with their very lives. Family, friends and each of us share in the loss of men and women whose lives have been cut short on battlefields of an increasingly dangerous world.
The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.
The Bay Shore display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
