“Operation Enduring Gratitude” is a service project of Knights of Columbus Council #207.

In appreciation for their service and sacrifice, Operation Enduring Gratitude takes World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans to Washington DC for 3-Day trips to experience the monuments and memorials that our grateful nation has constructed in their honor.

As part of our publicity and fundraising for our third war veteran’s trip, scheduled for May 2022, we are sponsoring a Healing Field display of American flags over Memorial Day weekend 2021.

You can join the Knights of Columbus and Operation Enduring Gratitude in celebrating our local heroes by purchasing a flag for someone, living or deceased, who has impacted your life in a significant way.

The stirring display of hundreds of American flags will be posted over Memorial Day weekend in May of 2021, at Hoopes Park in Auburn, NY. There is a story of service, sacrifice, courage, and love behind every flag that is posted. These flags remind the mature, and teach the young, that our freedoms have been purchased by the service and sacrifice of others, with many paying the ultimate price.

The panorama of Red, White, and Blue is hard to adequately describe, and once experienced is not to be forgotten. There will be no charge to visit the Healing Field display, and all are welcome to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags.

This display is a true gift to our community, and it is made possible through donations, sponsorships, and the efforts of many volunteers. You can show your support, and your Enduring Gratitude for our war heroes, by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

Once the Healing Field concludes, the flag you sponsor is yours to pick up, keep, and proudly display for years to come.
