The Cape again provides the gorgeous setting for the 7th Annual Dennis Field of Honor® display of more that 350 flags in tribute to our military, our veterans and our personal heroes. Cape Cod’s AMVETS Post 333 proudly hosts the event, where flags may be sponsored to dedicate them to individuals who have served to defend and protect us at home and around the world. Flags will be retained by sponsors at the conclusion of the event to be presented, flown or kept as a memento of the display.

Proceeds will benefit Emerald Hollow Therapeutic Riding Center and Heroes in Transition.

It is hard to describe the experience of seeing hundreds of flags flying in a stunning panorama of red, white & blue. Those who have visited the Dennis Field of Honor® posting of the Stars & Stripes in past years know of the event’s amazing impact, and first-time visitors have a great experience awaiting them. There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.

Many Americans have been watching Ken Burns’ PBS documentary “The Vietnam War,” perhaps recalling how they watched it live on the nightly news 50 years ago. But for Ken Archambault it was more than a vicarious experience. He was reliving his tour of duty in Vietnam in 1967-78 flying medical evacuation helicopters for the 1st Cavalry Army. He was 20 years old.
