The Dennis Field of Honor® Committee is excited to host the 6th Annual Dennis Field of Honor® posting the Stars and Stripes on Cape Cod.   More than 350 U.S. flags will fly in an impressive panorama of red, white and blue.  As in prior years posted flags will honor military, veterans, and personal heroes.  Vinny Fontaine, served as a U.S. Marine and was instrumental in bring Field of Honor® events to Dennis.  He will be especially honored this year for all his contributions to the community.

The Dennis display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation. Proceeds will benefit Operation Delta Dog and Emerald Hollow Therapeutic Center. Two wonderful organizations that help rehabilitate our returning military heroes using rescued dogs and horses.

The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten.  There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.

Chopper Drawing

The 2018 “Dennis Field of Honor”(FOH) Committee is offering a drawing for a one-of-a-kind, custom “American Icon” motorcycle as part of its overall program this year. For each individual donation of $100 made, that donor’s name will be entered once in the “American Icon” drawing. Donate $300 and receive three entries etc.

The majority of our profits go to help veterans on Cape Cod, MA. Our primary beneficiaries are Operation Delta Dog, https://www.operationdeltadog.org/ and the Emerald Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Program https://emeraldmtherapeuticridingcenter.org Both organizations provide much needed services at no cost for veterans suffering from PTSD and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). They are unique in that they provide these services using only rescued dogs and horses, a perfect win – win situation.

Field of Honor returns to Dennis for Veterans Day
Wicked Local
Many Americans have been watching Ken Burns’ PBS documentary “The Vietnam War,” perhaps recalling how they watched it live on the nightly news 50 years ago. But for Ken Archambault it was more than a vicarious experience. He was reliving his tour of duty in Vietnam in 1967-78 flying medical evacuation helicopters for the 1st Cavalry Army. He was 20 years old.

We’ll post news stories about the event here as they are published.
