The Friends of the Jacobus Vanderveer House & Museum are hosting the 4th annual Field of Honor® at River Road Park in Bedminster to celebrate our great nation, pay tribute to the service men and women who have preserved our freedom, and honor loved ones.
200 American flags will be available for dedication and displayed in the North Field of River Road Park in Bedminster beginning Sunday, July 1.

A field of 200 American flags will be the centerpiece of a community picnic on July 2 near the Jacobus Vanderveer House & Museum. During the Independence Day celebration, the public can walk through the Field of Honor, which pays tribute to men and women who have served the nation, according to a news release.

The Field of Honor® is a community project of remembrance, and an expression of humanity and patriotism.
Over 200 American flags will be available for adoption and displayed on the grounds from July 2–11. On Saturday, July 8, join us for a picnic on the grounds of the Jacobus Vanderveer House & Museum, featuring live music and food & beverage available for purchase.

The historic Jacobus Vanderveer House and the Stars & Stripes have shared roots stretching back to the American Revolution, which identify the location as an ideal site for Bedminster’s 4th Annual Field of Honor® event featuring a Patriotic Summer Celebration BBQ on June 1st. The Vanderveer House, the flag and a BBQ combine to create a festivity of a fashion that would have been appreciated by the founders of the Republic as much as area residents will delight in the festivities of 2019.
