Woodfin, NC ~ Field of Honor® 2014

May 24 – June 8, 2014, 458 Weaverville Rd. Woodfin, NC 28804

Hundreds of U.S. flags will fly in the Field of Honor® display posted at 458 Weaverville Road (next to Dollar General) during the last week of May and in the first week of June.  The inspiring formation of U.S. flags will honor America’s veterans, and at the same time raise funds for the Blackhawk Band’s trip to Pearl Harbor this coming December.

Invited to perform on December 7th at the 2014 Pearl Harbor Commemoration, members of the band have, as always, the energetic support of the North Buncombe High School Band Boosters who are sponsoring this first Field of Honor® flag display for the Buncombe County community.  The flags will present a beautiful panorama of red, white and blue as the community remembers and honors our military veterans. While the display will be visible from Interstate 26 the full impact of this majestic display is walking among the flags on the field.

Flags purchased for the display may be dedicated to honor individual veterans and then can be retained by the sponsors at the conclusion of the event.  Flags sponsored for $40 will be available for pickup after the flags are taken down, and flags purchased for $50 will be shipped to sponsors.  The funds raised will benefit the Blackhawk Band as they prepare for their trip to the State of Hawaii. This presents area residents with a wonderful opportunity to support a worthy event while raising funds for the band.

We invite all to visit the Field of Honor® flag display and to support our Blackhawk Band as they represent our community at the Pearl Harbor Commemoration.Flags can also be donated to the local school system.Flags that are not picked up at the conclusion of the event or shipped to the individual sponsor will be donated to local schools.

PLEASE NOTE: All sponsored flags will be shipped directly to host committee.
