9/11 NEWS COVERAGE
Tempe, AZ will be the host city to a 2006 Patriot Day Healing Field. These 3x5' flags will stand 8 foot tall in perfect rows and columns across a field of green. This living memorial will fly as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans. This will be a memorial to the nearly 3,000 persons who died on 9-11-2001. The field will be open to the public from 8:00am until dusk daily.
The Healing Field display will be located at the Tempe Town Lake Beach Park at Mill and Rio Salado, Tempe. A breathtaking display of patriotism and unity, this community project is free to all who wish to participate and heal together from the heartache of a nation attacked.
Everyone is invited to participate in this community event from September 8-11, 2006 in Tempe, AZ Bring a camera and your family. Help us honor, remember and heal.

The patriotic event is hosted by The Valley of the Sun Exchange Clubs Foundation in Partnership with he City of Tempe. These flags need your sponsorship. You can sponsor a flag and on September 11th you can take your flag home to continue your tribute and honor to our great country. Each 3'x5' flag comes with and eight foot pole and the rebar to post it in your lawn.
Volunteer: volunteers from the community are invited to show up on the morning of September 8, 2006 and help assemble the flags and place them on the field. If you or your organization would like to be a part of this moving event contact:
