2004 Gresham OR 2nd Annual Healing Field |
Gresham, Oregon will be host to an Authorized
Healing Field for the 2nd year in a row. Some great photos from last year. The final report on our success for 2004 More Photos in the Photo Gallery In September of 2003 on the 2nd anniversary of the terrorist attack in New York, a Healing Field in Gresham Oregon raised over $70,000 for community and charitable causes. During the four days, more than three thousand flags flew across nearly 25 acres at Microchip Technologies in Gresham . Each flag represented a victim of 9/11 and the subsequent battle . |  |
Approximately 75,000 visitors came to participate in Patriot Day, honoring those heroes. And
over four days, the 75,000 visitors purchased more than five thousand
flags as mementos of the event and as reminders of the momentous day.
The
flags will be sold again this year at the end of the event for $25. and
the proceeds will be donated to area charities. To insure that there
are enough flags available to meet the demand this year, pre orders are

Technologies in Greshamhas again stepped up to the plate to offer their
beautiful lawn space for the several acres need to display the over
3000 flags representing the victims and the heroes of September 11th.
Exactly 2583 Flag of Honor flags with the names of all the victims of
the September 11th attack printed on them and 415 Flag of Heroes with
the names of the first responders on them will again be displayed on
the more than 25 acre field. Plans
are underway and contributions and sponsors are being accepted for the
2nd annual Gresham, ORHealing Field. Sponsorship inquiries and other
