The Exchange Club of Crossgates and its Community Partners will host a Healing Field Memorial Event for the second year from November 5-12, 2005.
Imagine a sea of red white and blue. Thousands
of American flags will stand eight foot tall in perfect rows and
columns at the Exchange Club Soccer Fields along I-20 in
Brandon, MS. The visual effect will be one of infinity. The
sacrifice and memory becomes real and tangible when you see this
breathtaking display in honor of our veterans who have served our
great Country and the men and women who have lost their lives
in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11/2001 . These young
men and women have given their lives in the line of duty and met
the call to arms with courage.
This breathtaking display will be free to the public. Bring a camera and your family. Join us as we honor, remember, and heal.
The
event will be open from November 5 to November 12 at 1:00 pm
when the flags will be taken down and given to those who have sponsored
the individual flags to continue the tribute in their own homes.
Volunteers: Assembly of the field will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Any volunteers from the community are invited to contact Butch Lee at 601-825-9274
