Paul Swenson, founder and chairman of Healing Fields announced today that Ocala will be a host city for a Healing FieldTM on June 9 - 16, 2004.
The Healing Field will be located at the Ocala Elks Lodge #285 at 702 NE 25th Avenue Ocala, FL 34478 where 300 3x5' flags will be displayed on 8 foot poles in a “Healing FieldTM” display of perfect rows in honor of our local veterans of the and deployed residents. |

175 of the flags will be displayed with yellow ribbons honoring the deployed citizens from Ocala. The remaining flags and proceeds will be donated to the VFW retirement home at Ft McCoy.
The Elks lodges of America actually started Flag Day and the local Lodge wanted to honor their heroes during the week of Flag Day 2004. |
 | Individuals and businesses can sponsor flags for a cost of $27.50 each. Sponsors can keep their flag at the end of the event or donate it to the family of a veteran or deployed soldier. Healing FieldTM is part of a national program sweeping across the country with 25 registered Healing Fields as of the date of this release.
“This is a patriotic event, said Swenson, a spiritual event for the volunteers who help set it up and for everyone who comes to experience it for themselves and to honor our deployed fallen heroes”
