September 11th Healing Field
This was the first theme of a Healing Field and the idea that launched this national movement in 2002.
At 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001 a chain of events were set in motion that in two short hours would take the lives of over 3000 people in a horrific act of cowardice. 
For several panic-stricken hours, America witnessed the inexpressible, the incomprehensible, and the unthinkable. Our roll as Americans is to make sure that those memories never fade, less we let down our guard and allow history to repeat itself.
The first positive image to come out of the terror that awful day was the American Flag.
In order to remember, it is not necessary to relive the event through the tragic pictures and morbid videos. This would be counter to our nature as Americans
who live for hope and dreams of a continued freedom and a safe place to raise our families.
The September 11th Healing Field is a field of 3000 US flags flying in honor of those who lost their lives on that tragic day.
