Field of FlagsHealing Fields of HonorThe Exchange Clubs of Hancock County and Lawrence have teamed up with the Indianapolis Airport Authority to provide a Field of Honor® display of U.S. flags at the Mt. Comfort Airport located at 5809 W Airport Blvd in Greenfield, Indiana beginning the day before Flag Day, Wednesday 13 June and ending the following Sunday 17 June of 2018. This inspirational posting of the Stars and Stripes will feature more than 800 flags standing in a solemn formation to honor Heroes in Our Lives. First Responders and Veterans may be honored with the display of a U.S. flag. Veterans and currently servicing military have given so much and continue sacrifice in the defense of our freedom even at the cost of their lives.

There is a story of service and sacrifice surrounding each posted flag to remind the mature and to teach the youth that our freedoms have been purchase by the toil and blood of others with many paying the cost with their very lives.  Family, friends and each of us share in the loss of men and women whose lives have been cut short on battlefields of an increasingly dangerous world.

The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to adequately describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. There will be no charge to visit the Field of Honor® display, and all are invited to walk with us through the ordered rows of flags. This is an event not to be missed.

The Greenfield display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
