Health Care Professionals

Firefighters, Police and Emergency Medical Service providers protect and care for area residents in times of emergency, and each 24th of May designated as First Responders Appreciation Day presents the perfect opportunity to remember and honor the service and sacrifice we receive every day these heroes that live among us.

It is appropriate to honor First Responders with display of the flag that they honor though their service throughout Champaign County, Ohio and the nation.  Urbana’s 2nd Annual Field of Honor® display of United States Flags brings volunteers, residents and visitors together as hundreds of flags are posted at Grimes Field. This inspiring and memorable display panorama of red, white and blue is hard to describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. Additionally, funds will be raised to purchase carbon fiber thermal protection hoods for Urbana’s law enforcement officers.

The Urbans Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
